Navigation Update?
Got a 2005 A8L and recently the Nav screen says I need an update. Anyone know of an inexpensive place to get a new DVD w/o going to the dealer? Thx

Hard to believe the system tells you that you need an update. Unless the MMI software is new and can't support an older Navteq navigation DVD.
I've seen a defective DVD player say "updating" on the MMI screen then eventually it says "Please check DVD" whatever that means. I'll be opening up my DVD player and cleaning lenses & mirrors some day soon.
Anyway, to answer your question; the best place for updates: www.navteq.com Some dealers will even tell you to go straight to the source.
