moved from my 2004 t0 a 2011
I was sad and happy. i loved my 2004 A8L. got it in 2007 with 36,000 miles
but now with 148,000 miles its getting old and new issues are coming , after fixing the old problems. i have to say , the car was great, but after 8 years it was time to move on. the Audi dealer in Canada gave me a grate deal. gave him my old one , got a 2011 A8L 4.2L with 36,000 miles ( 58,000km) ,got the car certify and Audi warranty till may 2017. the cash i added was only 27,500$ plus tax. and Audi Canada finance me for 2 years with 0% interest. got a good deal. how is the 2001 (D40)? just got it yesterday , its bigger and longer, it is much much more advance . the drive is also amazing. i was sad to say good buy to my 2004, but i think very soon i will forget the old one and love the new one.
one thing for sure, had a A8L 4.2L and got a newer A8L 4.2L

Sound like a decent deal. I'll be making this same upgrade next year. Only difference is I'm gonna go for the 2013 4.0T. They've went down since dramatically since just January when I last checked.

Got my 993 10 years ago. their value went up like crazy.
the one that owns a 993, its a keeper for life.
never to be sold, they are the best by far.
they don't make cars like that any more.
forgot its an Audi form, not a Porsche........

Picked my 993 cab up about 4 years ago and can't believe where prices are now. It only has 45k miles on the clock. It's worth 2-3 times what I paid. You are right as they are keepers. Soon to hit the $100k mark!
