There is a chance if you find a seller that's parting out a A8, you might find one for less. Not many people looking for that part...

Yep, I'm in the next valley. My daughter worked at the mountain as a ski and snow board instructor.

I've read some of your posts and somehow know that you work out of Canandaigua.

I've always been pleasantly surprised by radiator prices, too. But the hoses! There are some insanely expensive ones, you're right Misha!

Yup, same price range for pre-facelift. Imagine all the ones thrown away by lot jockeys prepping cars... (and some less-informed owners)

Thanks again Tenspeed! Didn't know they were the same. However, regarding a used one, it would bug me unless it pristine, and as we all know very few Audi dash controls stay new-looking. Good idea, especially if seller was local.

Look at the Ebay ad link in Tenspeed's quote above, Jake; it shows that it does indeed look to be simple as pulling it off. couldn't figure how to post any pic from Fleabay here except the tiny thumbnail.
Still going to check the ol' Bentley manual... er, disc.

Thanks for all the feedback!

Try $107 for the gel pack for the rain sensor.

$2392 for the trunk motor to open and close it.

$535 for each tyre pressure sensor.

$1290 for a Bluetooth module.

Just to mention a couple.

How's this one...$4000 for a tray table on which to set one's sandwich and jar of Grey Poupon. You can buy a whole dinette set for the Missus for that money !

Audi dealer in Brisbane Australia.

Parts are rediculous here. My car retailed for $294,000 with it's options when new. It's a joke given that Audsie dollars and USA dollars are near parody.

I must've spent an hour searching Bentley, no luck. Searched "volume", "****", and every combination of those and other words I could think of. Tried to decipher its moniker from the wiring diagram. I don't think it's in there.

Anybody? Who was the guy who painted all his interior trim piano black? He must know!
