Last weekend driving my A8L... I'll still be driving an Audi
... but Randy wont.
Trading the A8L in on a 2009 VW Jetta TDI wagon. (laser blue/anthracite interior) Picking it up on Monday. Randy wanted something more economical for commuting (too many miles piling up on the RS6) so I'm inheriting the RS6.
I love my A8L, but at 55k miles and no warranty, I'm treading on dangerous ground. I'm one month short of owning it for exactly 5 years... guess I don't have to do the DMV renewal now =)

I'll let you know after all the i's are dotted and t's crossed.
Randy's been taking care of the business end... not sure the dealer knows that we're trading in a vehicle. I know they agreed on a price for the Jetta... I guess this is where things get interesting =)
I'm hoping for the best as the car has low miles, loaded with all the goodies, no accidents, and the only negative I can think of is the lower, rear passenger door trim (interior) needs to be re-seated. (I know that's an awful description but I don't know what it's called. It runs from shoulder height along the side of the seat and covers the lower part of the door opening. It's in place, but there's a 1/2" gap at the top where it should connect with the upper portion.)
Send me your email and I'll be happy to send you the details.

Sorry to hear you're selling the A8, but an RS6 is no slouch.
I'm guessing you get better mileage with the A8 than the RS6, but the Jetta TDI will more than offset the difference.
That's a nice little wagon.
I'm planning to keep my '04 for at least 8 more years. I hope it's not too bad out of warranty;-)
I just did a routine service and had nothing to add to be done. I think that's a good sign at 75k, although changing the timing belt and water pump were a hard hit.
Keep checking in on the board!

Don't worry, I'll keep my eye on you boys ;-)
I'll check in once in awhile. Yes, the A8L gets a little better gas mileage, however, since I put less than 5k miles on it last year, the RS6 mileage will slow down dramatically. Good luck with your A8L in the coming years.

Where did you find ur Laser Blue JSW TDI? I've had my order in
for a Laser Blue w/ anthracite, DSG, and NAV, since June 08, and still don't have a damn car.
I'm in Maine, but still... there isn't a laser blue car within ~200 miles of me, that isn't sold, or marked sold on the order computers.
The dealer has assured me that it's 3 months out, but that's what he said in Feb, so if I don't have the car by May, I'm going to be pissed....
