It thinks the driver is in the left seat, which is all kinds of wrong (in NZ). Presume this is because I have a French originated MMI controller installed. Ive checked the Car + Setup menu and no option to change I could find. Ive also changed the setting in a few areas in VCDS but to no avail.. how to fix?

Go to the MMI secret menu (car+setup)

Go to Diag Settings

Uncheck Linkslenker (this is the setting for left hand drive vehicles)

Restart the MMI

I had the same problem and another guy told me this and it sorted it.

Hmm actually now I'm in the menu and Linkslenker isn't an option anywhere!?

I had the exact same problem and this solved it.

It's not a new word, just a German one. Links is left and lenker is steering controls. So linkslenker = left side steering.
