Default This is what I should have gotten

<a href="http://www.amazon.com/BOYO-VT-MHC-ATSC-Combo-Tuner/dp/B006SF69E2/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1376515258&sr =1-1&keywords=atsc%2Batsc+MH+tv+tuner#productDetails" >ATSC+ATSC MH TV TUNER</a>

Better yet, I may just put an old laptop in the car - buy a usb ATSC tuner. Watch movies, TV and even listen to music, navigation.... Hmmm. Tempting.

Louis,

Beautiful, glad that worked, also if you do not use RVC controller it will not automatically turn on rearview camera.

As far as acc, the red + wire from OEM TV tuner goes right to that fuse block in your drivers rear quarter, you can actually put a 5amp in line fuse if you want for now and hook it to the power post with the nut on it, the red is always powered I believe, it is the white with yellow "MOST CONTROL" wire that turns the unit on / off.

Is the fan on the OEM TV TUNER running ?
Also when you turn everything off, does the OEM TV tuner {FAN} shut down ?

It worked that's why I didn't know. Now if it turns itself off then it's great. Did it. I'll check it tonight.

Thanks,

Louis

Default That Pin 3 doesn't turn off the TV tuner when not in use...

Hello JohnnyQ,
That pin 3 doesn't do anything that I know of, it doesn't turn off the TV tuner when I turned off everything. I haven't checked if the fan is on or not when the TV is in use. I could still feel the TV tuner is running even with the pin 3 is connected and the MMI is off.
Anyhow, the ATSC MH does work, it does show tv while in motion. Thanks for the post and I did the VIM coding also.

Cheers,

Louis

Default Watch MOST Local TV Stations In My A8L

I'm tired of watching 1 or 2 channels while driving. The main purpose of hooking up the TV to my A8L is to watch TV while waiting for the family shopping or attend special events. Buying the M/H tuner was a mistake. New Year resolution, watch all the channels in the Bay while waiting in the parking lot and here it is. I got it today. So happy, many stations to choose from. Now I don't have to miss sports when going shopping with the family on the weekends.

Cheers,

Louis

Teamelevation;
Yes! There is another detailed thread on how to set up the wiring etc. I have the 11pin HDMI usb plug for my samsung note2 wired up under the carpet and comes out at the dash. Change input to AV1 and bam, full surround sound with display. Great for action movies. I was saving the AV2 input for a PS3 but have not finished that yet.
I opted to get the analog tuner because 1) it is obsolete and cheaper, and 2) I really don't care about local stations.
You could get a digital tuner but would also have to get the antenna setup for all 4 corners. The wow factor is there, but I think too much effort for end result.
