I had engine problems(ignition coil died) during the update procedure(I did the update with running engine), so I skipped the second(clean up) disc. Everything seems to be OK(beside the battery management is cone as everyone had) dough, but can I do new update with the same CD-package if needed to do?

have the dealer check the control module located behind the glovebox. i had this same issue and i had to keep boosting my battery. trust me its only going to get worst and then you will end up having to pay min. 150 for a brand new battery. the part is very expensive if not under warranty. $1,250 at the dealer but genuineaudiparts.com and audipartsnationwide.com both have the part for around $970. just be sure to have your vin handy. for your comfort both places are audi dealers located in calif. the components are located in the electrical section. electrical- nav system components- control module. good luck.

hi
Thanks for the info. So your issue was with the nav control module?
Can I replace it or does it ahve to be done by the dealer?

Updating MMI myself makes me nervous after reading about these kinds of issues.

Should I bother having the dealer do it being this far behind?
No complaints/bugs so not sure if there would be any advantage.

Thanks,
Jake

I was nervous to(and quess what my heart did when the engine light came on ), but even with the complications I had, it worked out just fine.
I have the manual for it, if you are interested!

Thanks, very helpful manual.

I've looked in the archive but can't find anything. Is there a list of what is upgraded/changed in the newer versions?

Normally like to keep things up to date, but in this case it's not broken so not sure if I should "fix" it...
