I don't even remember what I had for breakfast so you will have to excuse my brain lapse!
Anyways, I was at advanced yesterday, and that is the part they pulled out but it was exactly as shown in that picture, 1 inlet, 1 outlet. The W12 PN was the same. The poor guys there went through every box they had looking for me, but no dice.

Ok so cross referencing MP4's post, the old part number was: 4F0201511B
I can't confirm but he said it was superseded by my PN: 4E0201511A
He ordered a Mann WK 720/3 and said it fit. The Mann site doesn't return anything for a search for 4E0201511A, but 4F0201511B returns the WK 720/3 PN. The 4F0201511E PN returns another Mann part number: WK 720/4.
Now I am confused!

Hmm. I will see if I still have the receipt for the one I bought. I know that it did have the 2 port one side and 1 port other though. That was for my W12. You could have them try and look up the one for the S8, see if it is any different. Or always just check another auto parts store, i.e. autozone, napa, o-reillys etc.

"4E0201511A" is the new part number you are looking for, it as two port on one side and one on the other.
Here is a link.

Our local auto parts stores did not have them, but can be found online.

Found it!
MANN Part # WK7204
Rockauto has it, had to look up 2007 Audi S8 fuel filter to find it. But there it is. $21 +/-
or BECK/ARNLEY Part # 0431055

Looks like 4F0201511E is the D2 filter, Mann PN WK720/4
PN 4F0201511B says the new PN is 4F0201511D, which looks like the filter for FSI engines and the W12 and is Mann PN WK720/3
PN 4E0201511A has no Mann equivalent, but seems to the the D3 fuel filter for pre-FSI 4.2L engines. Looks like there are no aftermarket options for this one. $100 Audi part it is I guess.

I ended up ordering a 4E0201511A from the local dealer for $100. Next time I will shop online in advance. The procedure is really simple with MP4.2's guide:
https://www.audiworld.com/forums/sho....php?t=2846979
I did have a corroded screw so I had to pry it out of the plastic. Now the fuel filter is in there with zip ties!
See my above post 16 for a summary of fuel filter part numbers. I believe this to be correct for any future readers.
