After reset, drove 12 miles and made a sharp right hand turn from a stop sign, and up came the engine light. This was within 2 miles of filling up the tank . Diagnostics to follow- dang!!

Any update as to what fixed your code? I have had this code pop up twice on my b7 RS4. It goes in for a carbon clean out on the 6th of next month and was thinking about having them do the low pressure sensor while they had it under the knife.

After starting from the rear and moving forward the last item replaced were the high pressure fuel pumps. Problem solved, no more fault. It seems like one of the pumps was starting to fail. I am not sure if this is possible, but the other pump must have been trying to compensate.

My A8l has had the right fuel pump done. Quite the elaborate fuel system, with the twin tanks. Reminds me of the old XJ's and associated nightmares! I am sure with a little study up though, these should be relatively easy to diagnose no?
Also - I am suspicious of rail sensors too, after my Volvo rail sensor failed (reading high pressure not low) on me @ 90K miles. 300HP Turbo R engine chugging like an old mule on the highway. Google and butt-diagnosed it. Called the shop to order it in, I was coming that way.
They brought it in, and got it fixed same day. Didn't miss a beat after that. OEM part was $$ tho. It was cheap on Ebay however.
