Default Driver door not locking/alarm not beeping

Started with it being intermittent a handful of times, now it will not lock driver door period, and the alarm does not beep nor does it arm.
I can trigger the alarm with the remote and that works.

Will scan tomorrow, but wondering if someone had something similar happen?

My trunk was detected opened due to trunk soft close broken. Slammed it hard, locked and I could lock and arm the car
Check all doors make sure none of them sensed open ?
Cheers,
Louis

Can you lock the door manually with the key?

+1 on it could be the trunk lid latch failing that's the root cause. Not sure where you're located (can't see on mobile interface), but it goes hand in hand with cold weather.

Or it's a bad lock solenoid or latch in the drivers door.

That's wierd Louis I don't have my softwa close button in for months now and it never caused me any problems, but I believe the op issue might be the locking actuator I'm the door, I has both lock solenoid and dornisha ajar switch in it, has to change mines year and half back because the ajar switch was defective only problem that was causing was that the system doesn't know when the driver door was open, next thing the OP can check is the harness that attach the door to the body, could be a broken wire in the loom..

My guess (as I had a similar issue) is the there is a cracked or broken wire inside the door feeding the door handle mechanism. You need to take the door panel off (see one of my earlier posts that detail "how to" on that) and take a good look at each of the 3 connectors on the door handle mechanism.

My wife's A4 had exact same issue with the passenger door, would not lock and would not set the alarm, either with the remote or the inside switch. Replaced the door module and all went back to normal, it was like $170 and a couple hours and beers to install.

Thanks will take off the inner panel and take a look in there.
THe issue is totally intermittent so it appears to be a wiring issue.
This damn cold weather is wreaking havoc on everything.

Ageing electronics or actuation motor.

I am getting these codes too on one door. Not sure about re/re.

I did replace one door/window control module with a good used from a newer car and it's hands down the best operating window of the four. Was pretty easy to do too.
