Default Key stuck in Ignition

Hello all,

For starters, I'm in a 2004 A8L.

So I got to get in my car, and the key fob doesn't unlock the door. I manually unlock and everything seems dead, so I stick the key in the ignition and try to turn it over. Nothing. Then the problem is I can't get the key out of the ignition.

So for that reason I can't get into my trunk to try a new battery.

Anyone else had this problem before? Anyone have any idea how to get the key out of the ignition?

Thanks,
James

There is a little hole next to the key. Push something in there and pool the key out.

Another infamous break in the VIN.
Should be a place to put a paper clip, if you have the correct dash.

Thanks everyone, googled the problem after posting this and found another thread on this forum that had referenced it.

And can someone explain why the Audi dealer couldn't tell me that and wanted to tow it in?
