Never had an issue with insurance companies but we have only had 6 claims and most of those were from accidents where we were hit. People can't park for crap in the greater DMV area!

I feel for you....and your daughter. I can also relate. My 17 year old son (at the time) was driving my Corvette Pace Car out of a parking lot when he got a lil' too anxious with the skinny pedal and spun it off the road side-swiping a street sign. He paid for the repair.

My wife got a 5 over speeding ticket on the freeway. Insurance goes up $300.00 every six months. All my cars have the cheapest, basic liability insurance only. Thus, I cancelled that COmpaNy and got it for below what I used to pay. F car insurance COmpaNies. Especially in Michigan.

If you happen to have vehicles that are 20+ years old, get them on an antique policy. At one point I had 4 older (1980's) Volkswagen products insured and the cost was under $300 per full year. Rates are based on declared values. Tickets didn't matter to them either, the rates remained the same.
