Default A/C SETUP MENU ON MMI AFTER UPDATE

HEY ALL,
Just finished my MMI update to 4460 from 1070.

All went well, I was able to re-enable the Battery monitor and the Instrument cluster on the MMI. The blue tooth phone works the way it should and no fault codes have come back after clearing them due to the update.

One thing that I still have missing is the A/C setup page on the MMI or even the ability to see it when making changes to the A/C settings.

I WILL search this form for the information on how to restore this BUT if anyone has the link to the page OR knows how to do it I would appreciate your help.

On a side note I wanted to thank Viper for his help during this project. The use of his VCDS was invaluable.
We also did an adaptation for the windows to be activated via keyfob, and reset the service reminder because the last place to do the oil change wanted $30 to do it.

Thanks in advance for the information on how to get back the A/C screen in the MMI.

Dan

Ok then..

I had to pick out information from about 4 different posts but with a little digging in the posts and some investigating in the "HIDDEN MENU" i found this procedure:

Go to HIDDEN Menu (Setup + Car for 3 sec)
Go down to Diag Setting
Go to APK 0X01, 0X0B, 0X0C
Go down to AIR Conditioning (Just under Bordcomputer which enables Instrument cluster)
Place check mark in Box next to Air Conditioning
Go down to to Accept Changes

Restart MMI Via 3 finger restart.

All is working as it should...

If any one needs this in the future I hope the specific instructions help.

Again a BIG THANKS to VIPER!!!!!!... You are awesome buddy.

4460? I thought the latest one was 4610? Are there many upgrade CDs out there?
AC set up page? You mean the "setup" button for you to turn off the ac instead of econ button missing in the A8?

Cheers,

Louis

I didn't check the AC box but my "setup" button is still working. Am missing some other AC set up?

Sorry for the typo Louis... It is Indeed MMI Ver 4610

And yes it "WAS" the setup button for the A/C. It also did not display on the MMI when I made changes to the A?C settings or the Seat heat/vent settings.

But then I figured it out... see post below.. thanks for writing back though..

My understanding is that this does not happen to every one that upgrades to 4610, just some times.

Glad that your A/C set up button still works... hopefully if others in the future have the problem I had they will now have specific instructions on how to correct it. Of course I need a VCDS from Viper to enable "HIDDEN Menus" (green) so that i could do this.

So does this change to the A/C in the Hidden Menu bring the A/C controls back up so they are displayed on the MMI when you make changes to the fan speed/temp/etc (like it did before the upgrade)?

Interesting, will have to try it....though admittedly I sort of prefer it NOT popping up in MMI when I adjust the A/C controls.
