Default Best way to play iPhone tunes?

My '07 D3 does not have an iPod connection for the stereo. Therefore, I have a two-part question: Is there a way to play the songs on my iPhone 5 via Bluetooth or do I need to purchase a cable or USB interface? If I need to purchase an interface, where is a good place to do so? Thanks in advance!

Hi Swissman,

i installed a Dension 500 GT on my Audi A8 2004 i have the MMI 2G system. its quite an easy install then all you do is plug in your iphone into a iphone cable and off you go. it pretty much emulates on the CD player so you can navigate around albums, tracks, playlists. A bonus feature is your also able to use the steering features.

If your in UK around Manchester more than happy to help you out with installing it. by the looks of your side wing indicator your most prob in USA.

If you are going to go the Gateway route, make sure you get the one that is compatible with the iPhone 5. I have an older one, and it does not work with the adapter cable. I believe there is either a software update you need to do to the Gateway, or there is a physical hardware fix not sure but look into it prior to making your decision. The Gateway works great, just a heads up if you have an iPhone 5.

Yes, I am in the US, but thanks so much for the post and the offer to help. Most appreciated.

I DO have an iPhone 5. Thanks very much. That probably will save me a lot of hassle.
