For the most recent couple of posts with issues, the codes probably lead to either an internal issue w/ the specified light unit, OR a wiring/connection issue. I would certainly try the latter first given cost & difficulty replacing units. Simplest is just undoing given connector, using some cleaner and reattaching. Still have to dive into fender liner to get there. Per Mister Bally's post, see if anything is obviously loose.

It's further down in the post, but it could also be connector or wires right near it. Mine have always been trouble free, but have definitely had connector issues with the O2's on the W12. Ultimately cleaning there doesn't fix longer term, but changing end connector and wires with crimped terminals close in definitely does. Audi sells virtually any wiring end connector I have ever needed, and they have wiring leads with pre crimped ends in various sizes and types. Here though very hard to isolate as between headlight unit and wiring without a known good unit to check against. Not sure if reversing units temporarily works and then can deduce if it is unit, or wiring to unit. A bunch of disassembly to get to that though.

If someone gets a code like this, or 02629 for the left headlight

all you have to do is go into module 17 Instruments and recode it. Subtract 32 from your current value and save. On mine it was 0048203 and became 0016203 (my tire pressure sensors already are turned off).
This is the only thing, that will remove the warning light, pulling fuses or coding other modules did not work for me

I Just want to say thank you, I was looking for this solution at least for a year, and only this procedure was successful.

Default finally a solution

BASARAB = You are the man! After years of warning sounds and flashing icons on dash, this process worked perfect. This alone paid for my VagCom cable. Wish i could buy you a beer. Cheers

Sorry... I seem to be running slow on the uptick .... missing something here...

0048203 - 32 = 0048171

So if i put in 0048171 and press "do it" the value will change to "0016203" ?

Hi BASARAB, thanks for the info. I tried this and subtracted 32 from 3153288 and entered 3121288 but was unsuccessful in extinguishing the adaptive headlamp error message. Any thoughts on where I may have gone wrong? Sincerely, Jay

Looks like you have an A6. Your coding will be different vs D3 model
