air recirculation flap motor replacement

Default air recirculation flap motor replacement

My air con been acting funny. The scan shows recirculation flap mechanical malfunction. I want to replace the flap motor myself is there any special procedure to follow and where is it situated. Does anyone has the part number

Send me a PM and give me your email address and I will send you the repair manual from Audi that has a procedure for replacing things like this.

Isn't the basic recirc flap the one seen when you pull off HVAC filter cover in the plenum area under the hood? If so, easy access compared to many of them.

I need to run a scan but I think I'm having the same issue. MMI shows everything normal and adjustable (fan speed, temp, vent positions) but nothing comes out of the vents.


Keep us posted on your issue and the fix please!

You need to run a scan as there are four motors. Two of them are underneath the dashboard

The repair manuel said silicone sealant D176001A3 need to be used to stop water ingress to the motor but this sealant is discontinue what else can i use

Contact a dealer parts department for the approved substitute.

I am having the same issue… I need to replace the fresh air motor. Do you have the instructions? Or where the motor is located!

This may be the blower motor itself. When mine failed nothing at all came out of the vents. Its under the cabin filter.
