Get the one from ebay is much cheaper and more cables.

Default Make your own Y cable or splitter for less than $70

For Y you need this part
<a href="http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/TE-Connectivity/1-1394916-2/?qs=/qBMEOSaPBY7yImSG17J0w==">TE-1-1394916-2</a>

<a href="http://www.jimellisvwparts.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_product=5273081&ukey_assemb ly=743452">other parts are here</a>

and 20 pins cable

Cheers,

Louis

Ok. Tv tuner sourced and purchased. Considering just getting the optical cables premade, looks like it won't be considerably too much after sourcing the individual parts and assembling. Will be ordering the cable for RVC. I think I will build the harness for the 20 pin connector. Does anyone have an idea as to the part number and wether or not it comes with or without pins?
Thanks!

Default I think these will fit

<a href="http://www.aliexpress.com/item/20PC-Lot-2-20-Pin-2-54-Pitch-Dual-Row-Female-Male-Pin-Header-Connector-Free/835767316.html">20 pin female header 2.54 pitch</a>

I bought one last year for $126 shipped and now, everything I see is over $180. Did the price just go up? I want to get one for my Q7.

Cheers,

Louis

I found a few f/s on ebay. I made an offer of €90 for one that was listed for €124. The seller accepted, with an additional €19 for shipping. Total just under $150 for the unit. Thanks for the info on the 20 pin connector, is there any Audi specific part numbers around? I can't seem to narrow this sucker down.

Default I haven't seen the actual Audi original connector at all

I have no idea what it looks like. I had a few sample connectors and they seem to fit so I used them to make my cables. If you remember the 40 pins computer ide hard drive, I think cut that in half, you'll have a good connector with wires already.

That was the first thought that came to mind actually! I have quite a few of those kicking around....somewhere.

Default exhaustive search....but I found it

8E0972420 for the red plug, or A, B, or C suffix will work as well.
000979009 for the wires, suffixes A through E it appears will work also

Default Yes, I checked those wires before too - $10 a pop is too much
