Thanks Johnny,
My question: "is the power for RVC and TV always on or connected to ACC (only when ignition on)". If it's connected to ACC then where does this line come from?
Thanks,
Louis

TV is slowly materialized my 06 A8L
I got the tv tuner and ATSC MH tuner last night, there is only 1 channel in the Bay area that I could get "mobile", I don't know what happens to all the other stations, they may not have the mobile broadcast versions or something.
I took out the video input from the camera and put the ATSC tuner in, put it in parking mode, rear view and I could see the tv flashed for a few seconds and gone. It was nice.
Tonight, I'll hook up the Analog TV tuner, and use the AV input instead of the RVC input. The problem is the Fakra connector is not here yet from China.
Johnny Q, I need your help here, please.
This is the pin out of the 20 pins connector (RED)
1. I looked at the cable you bought from Kutafec, they use the pin (yellow wire) on pin 3 which is the ACC from my Satellite connector, but that's "Open Circuit Diagnostic Lead" - I don't understand about this one.
2. How do I turn on the Analog TV in MMI?
Thanks,
Louis

Hello Louis,
Sorry but I changed some of your labels in your pin out as you had a few to many "screen earth" locations.
Also the TV gets turned on by pressing you CD/AUX button and selecting "TV", or in your case being you are using an external ATSC tuner input into the OEM Tuner, you will select " External AV Source1 or External AV Source2 " which ever one you input your source into.
Right now because you do not have the OEM tuner installed, YOU will not see TV or AV1 and AV2 in YOUR MMI CD/AUX menu or source selection, once installed it may install itself or you will have to activate in the installed list with Ross-Tech.

I hate to ask this being new and all but after reading through this entire thread it's still a little unclear to me what exactly needs to be purchased to enable the tuner.
Maybe its the acronyms that I'm still warming up to but my car ('07 US S8) has a factory fitted RVC. Is it as simple as purchasing the tuner and then adding aux ins since the Display Interface is already there?

I did find this list, just wondering if it's accurate for a car already equipped from the factory with a backup camera.
Parts required:
- Hybrid TV tuner (Audi part 4E0 910 148 D)
- 4 x screws for the tuner (see notes below)
- 2 x felt strips under the tuner (Audi part 533 867 910 A)
- TV tuner cable set (e.g. Kufatec 34533 Kabelsatz TV Tuner A6 4F inkl. LWL)
- Antenna cable set (car specific, see notes below)
- 2 x RCA video-in adapters for external AV connections
- Optionally a shorter FAKRA/FBAS composite video cable (see notes below)
