A8 facelift tail light lens cracked
Hi
Does anyone know if there is a guy / company that makes lens cover for these tail lights ?
Small lights have crack where the clear glass is.
Big one on the side have from corner and small crack up to clear lens part..
Anyone have some idea to fix these? Very expensive to buy new one and all 4 of them works perfect and no water inside! So I would like to fix them best possible

- if you search you tube, you can see videos of people repair and modify signal lights for a living.
- There is also a video out there of a guy refurbishing these lights by separating the lens. Do some cleaning and repair. Then gluing the the lens back.
- it is possible to repair it but it would be time consuming.
- Roughly
- get acrylic plastic that is UV resistant.
- Heat the plastic to make it pliable
- Press the acrylic to your signal light so that it can conform to its general shape.
- With a heat gun separate the damaged lens
- Cut and sand down your new plastic lens to match

I will check up with the acrylic plate 🤔 outside lights is ok. But the inner glass has also clear glass in the middle. So that need to be cut out and glue together with new one

You might try a product I had good results with (after drying out any moisture inside the lights). A couple coats might be enough to close the cracks. (Link to AW headlight repair thread)

I've seen some folk from I think Lithuania offering this service, specifically for the facelift rear lights. The work looks good, but I'm personally hesitant sending them abroad, along with some money until I've seen peopl vouch for the service. I can dig out the name of the user offering the service if required though.
