Default the 2008 A8 has MMI version 4140....
I just placed an order for the update cd...

Default Can older D3 models accept / read the newest levels of MMI SW? Does newer models have more memory?
or is that really an issue?

Default I see you are currently at 3360, i doubt 4140 would be a problem
I am going to try it when i get the CD. Mine is an 05'.

Default I had the dealer load on the latest updates to the MMI before I left
it took awhile (hour+) but from what I could tell from reading here it was worth getting done. I cannot be of help obviously about what the changes were but the install was problem free on MY05
