2007 S8 D3 100k miles, recently acquired
New to the forum and new to owning this amazing piece of engineering. I've tried to research as much as possible but haven't found the guidance I'm looking for. I understand that modifications are limited with this particular vehicle, but I'm curious about future issues. E.g. if I need to rebuild the engine in the future, how would one go about finding new pistons if the block needs to be bored out? I want to keep this vehicle for a very long time, so I'm curious about issues people have run into. Any other suggestions, based on it's mileage are greatly appreciated!

You just gonna need to replace the intake manifold if it has not been replaced yet and constantly deal with small oil leaks. Other than that this engine is great and usually and can run few hundred thousand miles. Usually people get tired of bunch of other issues with the car and get rid of it way before engine fails
