how to fix you 2g MMI / easy fix
ok i had coffee and water damaged my mmi control panel in my 04 a8l
it was basically going on and off and not going past the accept screen...i had sticky buttons and were not responding, well i had tried everything else before i did this and it worked for me so do at ur own risk but im sure you will be fine...
1 take it apart and wash it with warm water.... YES EVEN THE BOARD
2 blow dry it and let it sit in the sun the nxt or or in your car like i did ( unplugged )
3 when your sure its dry plug it in and it should work like new...
just make sure you dont plug it in while its wet... i had plugged mine after blow drying and it was completely dead i was going to buy a new or used one off ebay anyway as i had lost all hope and had just left mine in the car the nxt day was hot and i just plugged it to give it a final try just in case and VOILA good as new its been 2 weeks now no issues.... you might loose some of your settings but no bigger you can use vag com or hidden menu to reset
thanks

If you rinse it with this...
You can refit straightaway as it flushes out the water.
