07 S8 coolant reservoir removal.
I've looked and cannot find much.
Has anybody removed/replaced the coolant bottle on a D3 S8?
Thanks in advance.

Don't know if there is something diff on the S8 but I just replaced the coolant tank on my 06 A8L with no problem, There was a post about trying to loosen the mounting bolts and having the captive nuts spinning, then needing to be drilled out. Mine bolts came out easy. Bought the new tank on Amazon for $125.

Just did this yesterday. You need to peel back the driver side rear fender liner. Remove the bottom feed hose and the sensor plug. From the top, remove the aesthetic cover on the driver side and then the single bolt holding the reservoir in. Remove the top return line and you’re not ready to remove the reservoir.
The reservoir sits in a black housing and snaps into this. You need to push the housing away from the reservoir where you see the tabs overlapping it. Pull up the reservoir as your pushing the housing away in that area. You’re going to do this and notice the reservoir still isn’t coming out. You’re going to think you’re nuts. You probably are but not for this reason. The reservoir outer shell is two pieces sandwiched together. So even though you might move the tab and lift the reservoir above it, you likely have only cleared one half of the shell of the reservoir. Make sure you clear both lips.
Once you’ve done that it pops right out.
