Default 07 A8 D3 Oil Control Valve Testing Ohms?

Anyone know what the value should be? When I test it it starts in the mid sevens and goes to about 6.6. Is that within specs?

Thanks!

Nobody knows this spec!? In any event I cleaned and tested by putting 12V to it and it worked, so I put it back in but haven't started the car yet so I am not sure if it cured my problem

How about nobody knows what you’re talking about? What’s this “oil valve” that you’re generically referring too? Care to give us its proper name or describe what it’s for?

+1 what dvs_dave said. Not enough info. Let's start with where in the engine it is located? Do you have an Audi P/N?

I cleaned and tested it and the car seems to be running better and throwing no codes (for that anyway) One on each side of the engine, towards the rear. Car is A8 4.2 2007. Looks exactly as pictured at link below. Thanks!

OK, just to update in case anyone else is experiencing the same problems, I also have an older thread asking about this problem with the codes, I cleaned the VVT solenoid with MAP sensor cleaner, tested it, put it back in and the car seems to be running fine, no codes, I put about 20 miles on it today. Now onto the other issues.....
