If you have a well maintained Audi, and you do follow the Audi recommended maintenance intervals ( including the Trans). What is an expected cost on a monthly basis

I am planning on using the Audi as a semi daily putting on approx 1200 km per month. I also found an extended warranty for powertrain covering up to 3500 in repairs for 800 dollars.
My insurance is about 500 /year.

I've owned my 2001 A8L for about 4 years and have spent about $3,000 in repairs (not including a timing belt service). From what I hear, if the transmission has around 100K miles on it, you'll want to start saving (quickly) to have that overhauled (the previous owner on mine spent $4500 for an o/h). I had awful experiences with the aftermarket warranty, so I'd steer clearn IMHO. Best way to sum up buying a D2? Champagne taste on a beer budget (so long as you realize you still have to maintain a $60,000 car).
