Default Window Washer Went out...

Anyone have their washer pump go bad? My window washer stopped working a day ago suddenly but the high pressure pumps on lights still work. I checked the fuses on the passenger side floor and found none that were blown. I don't here it running at all. It's been above freezing here for the past week or so and definitely was before and after it stopped working. I know there are two pumps but the main pump is located on the washer fluid resovoir...is it known to go bad? I will break out the ampmeter this weekend to see if power is getting to the motor. Any suggestions as to what it could be or possible solutions (besides buying a new motor)?

Thanks all and Happy New Year...

Got the same issue, just came up about a week ago, but with the holidays, I haven't addressed it.

Default Just fixed mine yesterday....

I also thought it was the pump, but the hose came off. Look (feel) at the top of the firewall, passenger side corner right under the ledge. There is a short pice of hose with a 90, it connects to the underside of the molded ledge.

Default Make sure the hoses up to the hood are all connected

On my last Audi, they would come unplugged at the connections on the hood. If you drive down the road and use the washer and nothing comes out, but you can smell the alchol of the fluid in the cabin, then it's most likely squirting out, but just not to the squirters.

Or have somebody energize it while you are under the hood.

Yes I had to that too. Use some tie wraps to secure it in place

Default I checked....

The hoes just beneath the wiper plastic grill on the passenger side. That 90 deg plastic arm came lose last year but no such luck this time.

I also took the plastic skid plate and bumper off to see if washer fluid was leaking from any other areas but didn't hear the pump motor working.

What else could it be if the pump motor stops?

I will verify by checking if power if getting to it later this weekend.

Default Amazing...

How things seem to happen in groups. Same EXACT issue here, healight washers working just fine but the Windshield washer works no more. There is NO pump noise and in fact just yesterday I picked up a new pump from the stealer to have it on hand before I did into the problem.
