Bilstein and Eibachs on 17" rims w/ stock tire size
Solid, taut and gives a nice little thump over significant bumps (NYC roads suck). Just finally installed them. Previously I hadthe Bilsteins with B&G springs...very bad...no, awful...it would bottom out so hard that the outside joints of the two upper control arms would slam into the underside of the top of the shock tower causing two raised dimples in the metal!!! No ****! and yes, the rubber bump stops are in perfect shape.
I cannot in good conscience re-sell the B&Gs but will be shipping them back to the Mfr. (if they pick up the freight) for inspection. If mine are typical, I would strongly suggest you NOT buy B&G springs. Downright dangerous.
If you do go with the Eibach springs as well, make certain your chin spoiler is in good nick. Mine had some battle scars (wife recently tore it up pretty good backing off a high parking lot stop..fault = B&Gs are TOO low) so I removed the bumper and reinforced it with a 4' wide by 8"deep arc shaped piece of 1/8th" aluminum sheet (maybe it is 3/16"...pretty stiff) riveted with about 40 aluminum rivets. I then re-installed the bumper assembly and secured it to the two mounting brackets underneath so now it is nice and stiff and up tight where it should be.
Bilstein will cut another snap ring grove in their shock bodies for you for $10 per shock if you would like to raise or lower the car further. Bilstein/Eibachs are a proven package at the lower end of the price spectrum others swear by H&R coilovers which are a bit spendy.

I have the same spring shock combo also been that way for a few years now but on 18" wheels
I use to have 18"x9" wheels with 275 45 18 tires on all four corners with no issues at all with rubbing and boy did it stick to the rode. Now I am running the pies with 245 45 18 tires

GSpence glances at Always with a raised eyebrow and wonders "... can we order a set of gangstas in custom colors? I'd like mine in Phantom Black Pearl over Red..."
