When did they stop making SWB A8s?
It seems that I can only find LWB A8s from 2000-2003. Seems like the rest of the SWBs are S8s. Did they just make the A8Ls and S8s after the facelift?

SWB experience...
2000 SWB were available in the end of 1999 and the beginning of 2000. All the SBW chassis were dedicated to S8 production at the end of 2000 to prepare for the S8 launch.
The S8 Launch was a big deal in 2001, the option to buy one routinely fetched $6000 to $7500 on Ebay. I remember it well and I remember the day I picked up my new S8 like it was yesterday.
If you want a 2000 SWB, Check eBay, from time to time I see them.
It's a long story but I did have a 2001 SWB, I was told it was the only one in the USA, I dont know if that was true... Here is how it happened.
My 1999 A8 was stolen while at the dealership when I had it in for a CEL. AOA and the dealer told me, "Sorry, call your insurance Co." The dealer said get lost, you did an insurance job. I was ticked off and made a stink about how I was being treated and went to the media. I got on the Radio minutes before a Yankee game and then AOA started cooperating and being nice. They agreed to special ordered me a SWB 2001. I waited 6 months and when the car arrived it was a disaster. The doors didn't line up so the door seals squeaked, it had a suspension clunk and the climate control would blow hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The dealer couldn't fix it so I traded it in for an S8. The S8 was a lemon, it had an immobilizer problem.
I now have a 2000 SWB with 95k miles and it's great.

I have a 2001 SWB A8, green, did not know it was rare.
It is a former CPO car from Pennsylvania. It's been a great car after some warranty work a couple years ago.
I thought about replacing it (eventually) with a newer SWB A8 (which now sounds unlikely) or an S6 avant or an S8 but that's just woolgathering.

Ummmmm
I would hope so! Otherwise his wheels wouldn't even be on his car!!!
With 15mm spacers, you need lug bolts that are 15mm longer....etc.

By "TJ" you meant "PK" Dave? Yes like Paul W. said, 15mm required 15mm longer bolt silly!
I got them for $170 shipped ($168 I think heh heh) from some accessories.com site or some crap like that. Sorry forget the exact name - maybe Edlameweirdo will refresh my deleted cerebellum? He's lame though so dunno beware, etc. They're made in China, so what.
Or do a search here, I had posted the url a few times back when I'd gotten them. A must have, IMO. I think a few others also got them from there after I'd posted about it - maybe they'll chime in, I just tried looking for you but came up short sorry.
