What is the life expectancy of a pre-facelift transmission?
From what I see in the forum 150K on average.
How many listers have pre-facelift cars with original tranny and over 150K?
What kind of manintenance has been performed if any?

For me, about 125K before I lost reverse
I had the latest revision of transmission that came on the last of the 97's, 98's and 99's.
I think it's all a crap shoot.
It started hunting and thumping at 85K, so that's when the valve body went out.

The Torque Converter will drop in and out when taking your foot off...
the gas. Computer cant decide what to do and will kick the TC in and out, sometimes hard making the thump. I get it every day drivig to town, coasting down a big hill and coasting up a ramp getting off the interstate.
I'm sure some other people can give more details. Tozo mods the transmission valve body to prevent this. Thats all I know, and I cant wait to get the modded VB installed.
