Maybe a stupid question..
Why dont you guys code your trannys the same as the euro spec cars ? or is that what your trying to avoid ?

The S8 tranny can't be recoded, and ...
I assume the Euro and US spec S8's have the same coding. In any case, the only way an '02 S8 is "better programmed" is that it has an optional sport mode in auto; but if you really want a sport mode, run the tranny in TIP mode.
