Default Update on required repairs. Also wondering why I was unable to see all these issues when I vag'd?

So now I have a long list of items. Need Tranny, Control Arms, Cat and Fresh air motor and some other air duct issue.

Now I am waiting for warranty Co to report back. Hope everything is covered.

Let's just pick one item for illustration: Control arms.

Here's a picture of a control arm set:

It is noticeably lacking in electrical connections. How is the car's computer suite (ECU/TCU/ABS/etc) going to know if there's a bad bushing in a control arm? Besides the fact that I'm not sure how you would design a "bad bushing" sensor.

As I recently posted, a VAG-COM is just a tool. It's a very powerful tool, for these cars. It is not omniscient, a be-all, end-all.

Default Kind of strange about the cat (unless it's physcially damaged but working) and air flap motor

... presuming you scanned all the modules.

Anyway, if the warranty doesn't cover the fresh air flap motor, it may just be a dirty connection to the motor. It was in my case anyway -- some Stabiliant on the plug and it's been happy for a year.

Default Thanks. I will check the connections if not covered by the warranty. They are sending an Adjuster so

I am expecting an answer soon as to what is covered.
