temp light and oxy sensor

temp light and oxy sensor
i have no check eng light but the BIG red temp warning light started flashing. VAG showed the temp was fine, but did give me a P1131 code. Oxy sensor S1 resistance too high-intermittant.
could this cause the temp light to go on?
I checked the sensor at the under hood connection and the resistance range is supposed to be 2-10, mine showed 10.4. would that really be a problem?
the voltage to the sensor seemed fine.
I guess Im OK since the temp never gets above 95C, but that light flashing makes me a little nervous.
BTW, the temp light does go off rarely, but kicks back in right away.
