Default Ben - FWIW you'll find and enthusiast who'll spend the doughrayme. I'm nearly tempted to um...

...have mine be um misfortunate if Ins. would 'cover' getting yours

heh heh.

1/2

Point is - if I had the $, I'd spend 'that' on 'yours'. All day. But it does depend on how quick you'd like to see 'that' happen. Could be 6mos IME.

Best of luck - report back what you end up replacing it with, etc. Sad to see yours go, IMO it's one of the ultimate expressions / iterations. Hopefully it lands in good hands and stays in the 'loop'.

Oh mine goes in for trans werk this week likey - prettymuchpoooched.

Hope yer fam's well!

Default All VERY good points...

Fundamentally, I agree with you on everything too. I know you are a "price my cars to move" kind of guy. Right now, with the kiddo's my wife is just not happy bending over load and unload everything into the lowered car. Add to that, that it's impossible to teach a 2 year old "respect for the machine" and it just adds up to we need this car in 2-3 year, not right now. So, maybe when you are ready to move your '01 at a price that makes it move, I'll be ready again! (seriously)

My point is that we don't need to sell the car we just "want" to sell the car. So, I might as well take my shot at seeing what the market will bear. Honestly, I NEVER expected to get $17k for it...but keep that on the "down low". :-)

Default Paul, I gave your $0.02 some more thought and I think you are right...

....I have priced it a little more AW friendly!

Default You might try fixed price on ebay

When I sold my A8, I got ZERO response from Craigslist, AW classified, autotrader, etc. Put the car on ebay with a fixed price and wound up selling it to a guy who flew in and drove it home. It's maximum exposure for a very reasonable price. Just don't fall for any of the various scams that are floating around out there.

Default How much are the 19's and Phatbox worth used?

A Burgundy S8 would be a good replacement for my SWB A8, however for a driver I prefer 17" or 18" OEM wheels (ride, potholes, curbage.)
