Default That was suppose to be my car!

I love it....combined with the mods on my car, it would be incredible car!

Good luck with the price, you won't get it. I would say you would be lucky to get $15K for it. I don't think you need to "sell" the price so much in your ad. Let the car sell the price.

Just my $0.02, once again, I wish I had that car!!!! Good luck!!!

Default I am always open to your $0.02!

I made some changes to the AW ad in reguards to the price. That was a driect copy over from my Denver Craigslist ad in which I was trying explain it for the layman that may see other ads for similar cars for much less. So, you're right, I needed to modify it a bit for the "in the know" people.

I'm not sure if I'll get it either, but based on other "nice" cars being in the $14-$15k range, I would hope $17k would do it. If not, I am always open to offers.

Default Hmmm.....tried to submit it twice and it's telling me....

...my ad is too similar to the one I posted in Denver, so it won't let me "Double Post".

Default Depends how fast you want to get rid of it

In the end, is $1-2,000.00 really worth people kicking the tires to you? If you price it out of the market (sadly the market is not $17K), then it will just depreciate in value and you will be down even more. Special option packages really don't ad real value to your car when it's an 02. An 02 is worth what an 02 is worth.

However, you are in CO where people love quattros.

I just sold my wife's 2002 A4 in 5 hours a few weeks ago. 87K miles, she bought it new. Craigslist has A4's ranging from $8500 to $12K. The dealer where we got our ML350 was going to give me $5500 ($6K with tax benefits). I put it up on craigslist with a short description (it drove very nicely because my wife never beats or knows how to beat on a car) for $7700.00 at 3:30 P.M.

I got 2 guys who were going to look at it on the next day, another guy called at 7:30 P.M., I told him if he was interested, he should come over, and he did and bought it. He then asked if the $7.7K was firm. I told him since he is a finish carpenter, which is one of my hobbies, I would give it to him for $7.6K.

He gave me $200 and came back the next night with 74 more $100 bills.

We came out $1600 ahead, and got rid of the car the first night. I had a lot of people tell me to just trade your car in.

I still look at craigslist, and you know what? All the same A4's are still there.

If you don't sell the S8 in the next 3 months, it will most definitely be worth $500 less than it is today, if not more. Sad, but true. Look at BruceM's S8, if he has sold it, he sold it at a negative.
