My favorite line from the 2002 Audi brochure in describing the S8...
"So while some maintain the meek may inherit the earth, they will most certainly not be driving this car."
Such a classic statement and quite bold for Audi, thought I'd share it in case you haven't seen it. It's in the context of how subtle the S8 badging is and how is speaks volumes about its driver. Dunno about that...

Yeah, doubt it - as my badge would then read //JNR8 instead then 8-)...
And, how the ginormous //S8 badge can be considered "subtle" is humor in and of itself.
I'm still 1/2 considering ordering a euro pre-facelift version just to tone it down a bit back there. Nottafan of them new fangled badges, I'm not.
Want an assessment of a car's driver? Check tire wear and brake dust muwhahahaaaaa.
This 'badge' on the other hand should speak volumes to those who know (basically no one in the general populus of the world) heh heh heh:

Compared to an S8...
... it's slow (surprise surprise), but it still goes good enough to play with most of the cars on the road. The performance figures are similar to those of an A8 3.7 FWD.
0 - 100 km/h: 8.1 secs
top speed (according to Audi): 242 km/h
top speed (according to my GPS): 259 km/h
I know this is more or less a theoretical value - at lest under normal traffic load - but I still find it pretty impressing for a diesel powered car taking only 9.5ltr / 100km (about 25 mpg)...
Oh, and thoug it weighs almost 2 metric tons it handles quite well - thanks to an S8 suspension )
