...traded my 02 A8L for a 03 S55 AMG. MB builds a nice car, the dynamic seats are my favorite. Oh yeah.. it runs like a bat of hell as well. I really enjoyed my Audi's and especially this forum. I heard Motodyne was providing AMG with all of there SC's these days!!! lol... I'll post a pic soon if anyone is interested. Take care and good luck. (especially with the trannies)

they are way down on the reliability of the S, way more down than they are on the A8 LOL. Seriously, MZB's reliability and quality control has taken a sharp nose dive in the last 15 yrs.

Back in the day I owned a late 80's MZB and I swear it was the best car I've ever owned. Any problems I had with it I was able to fix it myself. It gave me a good impression of German Engineering.

They were 19's. I loved them. I bought them from a Forum member who had them on his A8 that he was selling. Paid him $1200 and they came with tires on them that lasted me 20k miles. It looked nice... the Eibach springs and S8 sway bar helped it ride nice too.

Consumer Reports is a joke. There are no known reliabilty issues with this car. If I do have a problem. 100k mile warranty will take care of it. Good luck with your '98.
