Transmission i believe is the original...which i think is pretty rare (or the first owner had it replaced, but no documentation).

I've had it for approximately 80K miles of which I've driven like a bat outta hell for!

I'm shopping for a replacement right now. I figure, it will last probably few more years or so, but its leaking a little oil and I'm too lazy to deal with it.

I've gone through all different car options.

Recent thoughts:

2004 BMW 530i 6spd

2002 BMW 540i 6spd

1999 Porsche 911 (but not practical as a sole car)

A few Mercs, but I'd be ashamed to even list them : - )

2001 S8

But probably I'll end up with a 2002 A8L, with NAV and upgraded OEM AUDI 19s. Bilstein Eibachs and I should be good for at least 3 years......until I get bitten by the car bug again!

You know, Audi should give us a new A8 if we make 200K LOL, like that guy with the Saab!

I also have a 97 A8Q for more than 2 years, and soon will reach 140K miles.

Apart from a small oil leak, the car runs very smooth (previous owner had replaced the transmission around 110K miles).
