as I already know the PROS
Dealership is checking to see if it has extended warranty right now, I should be getting a call back soon.
Would you guys hit it?

Price
I got my '01 S8 (black on black - every option except Alcantara) with 54k miles for $21,500 about 8 months ago. I bought it through a dealership in Delaware, so I had to fly out to pick it up, but the price was worth it.
$29k seems high to me...

CONS of the S8
I had a new S8 in 2001. Here are the cons as I see 'em.
1. S8 is not as fast as it looks or the name implies and there are no performance upgrades besides an after market exhaust system. I was completely toasted in a friendly street race with an Audi TT and just about every other car I tried to take on and I had the exhaust system.
2. I found the S8 suspension to be very harsh for daily driving.
3. Brake squeal is common and can be difficult to remedy.
4. Low ground clearance offsets the advantage of Quattro in the snow.
5. S8 is fuel thursty.

While I don't disagree with your assessment, I find it surprising that
A8 owners in this board often boast about how they "smoke" a whole bunch of cars, including several BMWs, whereas you've been toasted by mostly everyone in the S8.
Which gets to show that the assessment of relative "performance" is very subjective for most of us, non-professional drivers, under non-ideal and mixed driving conditions.
