Considering a used Phaeton for your next car?
I almost bought a 2003 D2 but pulled the trigger on this Phaeton. It's a great car for the money especially the V12.
I put an Audi 'touch' on mine - the lower grill shell. After staring at D2's for a year I just had to do it!

Re: Bentley wheels?
They are Bentley 9J x 19" and they are 5x112 bolt pattern and 41mm offset. They fit the D3 A8 with 275 40ZR 19's. That's the size on my Phaeton. I bought (stole) them off ebay - new wheels and new tires for about $1,600.

I think those Bentley Wheels/Tires will also fit our D2's
I have a set of the Bentley 19" Mulliner 2 piece style with same rubber/rim width/et but have not tried to install them since I want winter rubber on my D2 until spring.
I've been on a buying spurt lately purchasing 2007 19" 5 spoke S8 OEM Sport Wheels, 19" Bentley 2 piece Mulliners and now a 2008 set of 20" S8 OEM wheels tires...all great deals from ebay ;-)

What is your experience with the Phaeton?
How is service and has it been dependable?
I gotta think the running costs have to be high, don't they?

Don't care anymore? They don't care NOW.
Phaeton owners are not going to be repeat customers. Not now, not ever. And they've no skill at servicing or repairing the Phaetons, since they don't see enough of them to build up any kind of expertise or knowledge base. Much better off with an A8 for that class of vehicle.

I might take the Mulliners off your hands should you decide to bail on them. I don't think the tires will fit your wells. Good luck. I've seen them on a couple of D3's.

Re: Considering a used Phaeton for your next car?
Have an extended warranty to 100k miles. No real problems except a trans change at 20k. My car was a dealer loaner vehicle for 11k miles so maybe that's why.
Average 17 mpg with 22 on highway. Tires are really cheap. Oil expensive, high test gas.
