CVT A4 B7 - Drain and Fill concern
Hello TozoM8,
I saw you're an expert in transmissions and I wanted to see if I could get some insight from your experience.
I have an A4 B7 at 150K miles with virgin ATF. It's a CVT. My question is, do you advise for or against getting the ATF drained and filled at this point?
The transmission has no issues or noises and all gears change nicely and smoothly. I recently purchased the car at 130K, clean title, and based on CARFAX report received consistent servicing at Audi dealership in its first 100K - so just want to really take care of the car and give it proper maintenance. It's the first car I purchase on my own.
I heard around other forums and videos that the transmission may start with slipping issues if unmaintained and service done at a much higher mileage like mine? What do you say?
Also of advised to get it done, do you suggest using Audi genuine ATF or Febi Belstein would be okay? (https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/aud...4-a6-g052180a2)
Per FCP Euro Febis is a "a Bilstein group brand, is a family owned German company globally known and respected as a manufacturer of OE quality aftermarket replacement parts. Febi Bilstein has been machining metal parts since 1844 and their experience shows in their parts. Febi workers perform most of their production, as demonstrated by a Febi workforce of 1,300 (of which more than 90% are skilled workers). Febi has over 150 years of production and machining experience and it shows in the parts they manufacture."
Just considering Febi given that is 60% cheaper. Thank you for your help in advance!
