Very small leaks can be anything from the high-bleeds leaking to head gasket problems .. is there a white crust around your high air bleeds??

Yes, my 97 did that
When I sold it, I filled it up, and tightened the expansion cap very, very tight.
I think most of it was leaking past the gasket. You might try getting a new cap and tightening it down. It's suppose to be a sealed system.
When it's really cold outside, it leaks by the o-rings, there are plenty of them. Filling it once a winter is normal IMO.

on the driver side firewall, look for the two heater hoses. There's black plastic screw on each...
one. The rubber o-ring is part of the screw and a common leak point. I have the Home Depot part # which you can use as a replacement.

Mine had a tiny leak in the overflow pipe attachment to the upper radiator hose...
Try looking for residue in that area. Another place is the nipple of the overflow tank can crack.
BTW, if that's what it is don't waste your time trying to repair the upper rad hose. Just get a new one.

Re: "antifreeze is cheap"!!!!!????? and toxic
Ethylene gylcol is very sweet and quite toxic to dogs and cats that will lick it off your driveway or garage floor.
