exactly what the subject says I have stiff steering turning right only . Left turns a pretty much Normal . What I have done to this point is : Check for leaks None, Clean pump filter it was a little dirty but pumps fluid flow seems strong also after searching some poster suggested air and to drive ,put car in neutral and turn wheel back and forth while coasting and revving engine to 25-3500 rpms that seem to help only briefly I was thinking about a flush but to me it seems that if their is a check type valve in the system it may be having some type of issue but by reading other post with similar symptoms I don't see that changing the rack will have an effect especially since it doesn't show any leaking although that probably means nothing.
If you have had this or similiar problem Please post you findings

from the system as possible. The problem has to be in the rack itself- the entire rack is driven hydraulically by a single input/output to the rack. Since the rack works fine in one direction, that means that the pump and hoses are doing their jobs. I have seen these problems clear themselves up on occasion, but having fresh/clean fluid couldn't hurt. If the problem persists, I see no other option than to replace the rack, a real PITA (BTDT).

Turning right slightly stiffer all time and very stiff to start rotate wheel if the first movement after start the engine is to right direction.
Usually after start engine I turn wheel to left and then differencies in rotation are minor.
It last more than 3 years. Neither dealer or another found problem.
In my case it not rack - temporary had replaced my for another one - no change.
Somebody said that valve in steering pump is responsible. Need to replaced one.

Yeah I guess I'll go ahead and flush the system to see what happens hopefully i wont have to change the rack It looks like a PITA job but if that's what it take then "so be it" . I've read alot of post just like Mikalai's where it didn't correct the problem The fluid does look terrible looks almost muddy when settled

whats a good source for a rack and are the reman racks sufficient. I've seen many for 399 & up .The dealer quoted me 2500 retail but with discount 1200 pretty steep I think

I don't know. The customer brought the rebuilt rack.
