Thanks

I feel some remorse for getting rid of my 650 Bimmer convertible. Car had fantastic power (440HP) and was a head turner looks wise, but I just did not trust the engine to go on any long trips and it was almost 9 yr old with only 37K miles. But I'm looking forward to the much more techy A7. I will only drive it about 4000 mi a year so it should last me a good long time.
My old Bimmer

Got back last night after a safe trip with the new A7. This thing is a beast of gadgets and settings. We had a 4hr trip running over 80 back home over rough riding interstate roads. This morning reading the manual I realized we had it sport or dynamic driving mode making the ride rough. Would have been nice to have had in comfort mode !! The cruise control drove me nuts slowing me down every time it saw a new speed limit sign. Again surfing the manual this morning I see I can turn that feature off. So many settings, and I'm an engineer. Will take a lot of reading and playing with it. Heading out now to figure out how to sync my garage door opener and my phone and program the radio. May take an hour !!

Yes there’s a way in the safety settings under predictive control for it to not change the speed limit when it sees a sign. Was one of the first things I turned off in my car because I would set it to 75mph on a 65mph speed limit, then a sign would say 55mph and it would randomly hit the brakes.

vehicle —> driver assistance —> adaptive cruise assist —> predictive control
