Default Trading my 650 BMW Convertible for a A7 (maybe?)

We are looking at a 2019 A7 Prestige with 14,000 mi and trading in our 2013 650 BMW Convertible. I've surfed around this site for any problems that year A7 might have to look out for or ask the seller (an Audi dealer in Chicago) about. So far have not seen anything major to be worried about. Any comments on potential issues? Thanks all for any insight

Have you test drove it yet? I assume you have, or at least have had a mechanic look at it. But it's under warranty anyways.

The biggest compliant has been the Start/Stop mechanism which they have fixed in 2020 with software. Otherwise, it's great!! Prestige is the way to go IMO.

Well, looks like the deal fell thru. They would not come close to what I wanted for my trade-in. Shame, the car was exactly like we wanted in options and color. Not too many A7 Prestige out there. They basically did not want my BMW, said the 650 Convertible would be a hard sell in winter. Shoot spring is just around the corner. Will keep looking over the next 6 mo. when my BMW is finally out of warranty.

Yeah finding the right car on the CPO or Used Market is tough. Good to be selective on the options you want because you want your purchase to be worth it. But usually it's a narrow chance it's the price you want and once you drive it.. its what you expect. Good luck. The 2019 A7 is smooth, powerful and comfortable. Maybe more 2019's will come out in the market in 2021-2022.

I had found some S7's in really good condition but never with all the options I wanted. I sought after a 2017/2018 S7 in 2019-2020 but I finally found "the one" but was really disappointed (car was worn down a lot), and I just gave up and got a 2019 A7 new. But I'm happy I got the options I wanted (Prestige, Massage, Heads up Display, DAP, Black headliner, s-line -- seems straight forward but it was so hard!). The C8 sound systems are superior to the C7 too, so I was happy.

I will keep looking. My BMW is V8 twin turbo, 440 hp and I almost never even come close to using the HP so the more docile A7 with the much better gas mileage seems the right choice. Funny, I bought a brand new 1986 Audi 5000S, and it was a terrible car for stuff needing fixing, that and the unintended acceleration news debacle so much that I practically had to give the car away 2yr later in trade. Told myself never Audi again. But 35 yr later I've mellowed and want an A7 bad.

Well, it took another 3 months of looking, but found another blue 2019 Prestige S line. One owner lease turn-in with 17K miles. Will be driving 5 hr to another state to pick it up Saturday. So officially an Audi owner again after being away from the brand 35 yr (last one was a brand new 1986 5000)

I thought so. 2 mo ago another Audi dealer was offering $4000 less for my BMW. Maybe its just a sign of the times that used cars are going up in value.
