Default Brakes?

Love the new ride. But i feel like the brakes are one of the weakest parts of this car. Not that aggressive stopping power i am used to. Anyone coming out w ss lines or rotors? Anyone agree w me?

Wow, interesting that you say that. I actually really love the breaks on this car because they feel really powerful to me and very precise, if that makes sense.

Baffled by this comment. The A7 has very, very good brakes. From high speed or low, they are linear, consistent, and strong. I had to test them once already and I was stunned at how quickly I stopped.

Jay - I see that you also list an R8 in your stable. The brakes on the A7 are good, but likely tuned to feel like a luxury car. I know I can really feel the difference in the brakes coming out of my Z06 into the A7. You may be feeling the same - coming from a big brake car to a car with "normal" brakes. The pedal feels softer but if you lay into them they do a good job.

Ehhhh...SO has the R8 also and the brakes on the car are definitely absolutely phenomenal but its not THAT big of a difference. I like the brakes of both cars equally...

Hmmm, can't say that I agree with that one. A7 has some very impressive stopping distances in the mags, particularly when you consider the overall weight and size of the vehicle. The calipers on the A7 are massive, even bigger han my 6 Piston StopTech brakes on my S5. My 20" S5 wheels wouldn't even clear the brakes of the A7.

I sold my BMW 320I 2.0 Litre Cabriolet and got the A7. I love my car, but the Brakes on the A7 are weak compared to what i was driving before. Or i still need to get used to these Brakes. But if you try and brake hard, it does really stop in a split second, but whereas in a BMW, i just have to slightly push the brake pedal in and the car is decelerating at a drastic rate.

Brake functionality is one thing. Brake dust "SUCKS" on these cars, and pisses me off that it cannot be corrected. Makes the rims and car look like ***!!!!!
