Google Traffic info
Hi guys,
I have been looking for a while now to try and find out if Google Maps traffic (which is available on maps.google.com or on a Android phones) is possible to get on to a 3G MMI in the A7.
I have a old A7 2011, which has 3G MMI in the UK, so it has a SIM card slot. But I can not get the google traffic info on to the screen, and left only with TMC (which is received through the radio, and not as reliable as the google traffic feed).
Can any one tell me if I can get the google traffic info onto my car?

Yes it is, and if your car has a Sim card then you should already be able to get it.
Does your google earth work ok? If not then you may need to configure your data connection.
If it's already fine then toggle and select traffic on your map options. That will give you the red/amber/green traffic flow information.

hi Brikie,
I tried that, and I dont get the coloured routes (Red, Green, Amber) in the same way that my phone has. I get Red shaded colour when there is traffic only and the signs where there are road works and closures.
The info I do get is definitely on TMC, as I only see TMC on the bottom left corner of the screen and is not correct all the time.
I think I will need to get Audi to look at this.

Yes. That is correct. No idea why, given we have google maps and a sim card, and google traffic is far superior. But, alas, that's what we're stuck with.
