Just picked my A7 up from Achtuning and I was like, wow, that's low! According to the H&R website, the springs would lower the car about 0.75 or so inches. This is definitely about 1.5 inches or so. I am coming from the non-sport A7. I asked the shop and they said that 0.75 inches is probably from the European spec. US cars have to have certain front bumper clearance so that's why it's lower than it was supposed to be.

Ride quality is not compromised at all, and body-roll has been significantly reduced. I really like the way it handles and turns now.

I now have to be really careful about going over bumps and parking....

Looks great Aquarian...in fact...your ride ALWAYS looks great. You've single handedly converted me from a white color doubter to someone who is seeing the light BTW.

Some questions regarding the springs:

1. Was there a reason why you didn't go with Stasis springs, I know you have a Stasis exhaust so curious why the H&R's? I know very little about the H&R's, are they considered a superior spring to the Stasis springs?

2. I'm pleasantly surprised to hear you feel body roll has improved, as I'd like to reduce body roll in my A7. I was under the impression that springs would do little to aid body roll, that sway bars were really the factor with that. Did you install new sway bars along with the springs?

3. Hypothetically speaking of course, let's say you like how low the car looks now but you are tired of having to watch every bump in the road, can you request to have the car raised that extra .75 inch you seemed to have gained? I know blasphemy, but I thought I'd ask.

Again, car looks great!

Several things came to my mind. First your front bumper is a little different from the Prestige and that may play a visual trick on you. Secondly my driveway slopes to the right so I think that's why the car looks lower than yours. I need to find a flat area and shoot some photos to compare. I have seen your photos and they seem pretty close to mine.

You can't get springs alone from Stasis, and the whole package with the sway bar costs about 3-4 times more than H&R springs alone. I wasn't planning on getting a sway bar for my A7.

No sway bars.

Springs are not height adjustable.

Again, car looks great!
Thanks!

Mother F'r

You are in seattle?

Where you at Achtuning today?

Your car must have been the one the put 12mm spacers on to test the set up I have... which confirmed the rubbing at 25 offset.

They also agreed... as I said.. .there is no way in hell H&R is advertising a correct drop... in fact achtuning told me today they were going to modify on there website.

They guys there are great... they are sending me the same wheels I have at a 40mm offset for free so I can get the clearance I need upfront.

Drop looks great... and even makes stock look a lot better.... cant go back!!!

Take it out and hit a few hard dips and turn hard into some dips and tell me what happens.
