I believe Interstates much more cruise control friendly with ACC because of constant adapting with commercial trucks--either cars pulling in front of you to pass a slow truck, or just avoiding drivers who don't have 'side assist' and need it desperately.

I took my trusty non-contact digital thermometer to the car yesterday and measured the temperature of the steering wheel.

When I got in the car, the wheel was at 9.1C all around. 3 minutes after turning the heater on, it measured the following in the different clock positions:

12 - 24.7C
3 - 26.9C
6 - 23.4C
9 - 27.1C

These temperatures make the wheel feel very comfortable, even on a very cold day (yesterday wasn't one of those).

14 degree change minimum is significant. I don't know what the temp is on mine. What is a "non contact" thermometer?

Handheld device, projects an infrared beam and reads the temperature where the laser points.
