I hope a bike fits. We are picking up our A7 Prem+ Monday. May need a rack. The good news is that the Audi racks go on and off so easy you don't have to leave it on.

The past summer, I took my wife's bike and mine numerous times. Had to remove the front wheels and it was a bit of work but they fit. It is ideally a two person job and the rear seats must be folded down, of course, and the hatch covers removed..

I do a lot of biking and that's one of the reasons I chose this car. I can fold the rear seats down, remove both pieces of the rear shelf, and get two road bikes laying flat in the cargo area with their wheels still on and a padded blanket between them.

I haven't tried this yet. Is removing/reinstalling the rear shelf an easy task?

Yes, it just snaps into place. The only thing to watch is that you don't get any dirt on it if it is a light color. Mine is beige so I am speaking from (sad) experience. One thing to say though, upholstery cleaner does a great job.
