This is simply awesome but the price tag is a bit high.

Wonder which color that is? The RS7 has Misano Red as standard choice.
I ponied up the $$ for an Exclusive Color and chose Brilliant Red for my A7, one of only 2 in the U.S. that we know of. We've formed the North American Brilliant Red A7 club. Madame President is in Wisconsin and I represent our members in the South as V.P., based in Florida.

"The S line exterior package and black gloss package lend the body a dynamic elegance; there are also V6 T emblems on the fenders, black exterior mirror housings and high-gloss black tailpipe trims. The special edition model is offered in Daytona Gray, Misano Red, Nardo Gray and Sepang Blue."

Honestly I don't understand the love for the TDI engine (in the a7)
You tune it up to have barely the same horsepower and acceleration than a regular gas A7.
I got a q5 TDI loaner the other day, and I liked the torque feeling for city driving, but a I liked it because it is a SUV, it will be perfect for my wife, but not much for me, I like the high rev feeling of the gas engines.
Consumption is nice but I don't buy cars based on consumption, if that was the case I will have an electric car.
S, RS and R8 models do what they can disconnecting half of the cylinders but their priority is different.
And I can say the TFSI engine is a hell of an engine, you tune it and you go FAST.

What's not to love? Acceleration 0 to 60 is 0.1 sec slower than in the TFSI engine, yet the range is about 200 miles longer for each tank of gas! Yes you do not get a high revving engine, however you get one that has much more torque at low RPM. Try a TDI in S mode in an A7!

If you don't care about the extra mileage and like a high revving engine, then you aren't the target market for this package. BTW - I agree with you!!!
Ain't it great to have choices like this in life?

So ironic. Americans used to be able to fly over to Germany, buy it for far less and ship it home on the boat for a money saving adventure extraordinaire.

But because is export only
But that same car in Germany is more expensive.
